Switzerland Trip Length: 11 Days 
Day 1 & 2 HOME/ZURICH/GRINDELWALDUpon arrival at the Zurich airport, you will be transferred by private minivan to Grindelwald, a lovely Alpine village in the heart of Switzerland. (approximately 2.5 hours) Day 3 GRINDELWALD Half day excursion to Lauterbrunnen and Trummelbach Falls by private minivan with English-speaking driver. Spend the afternoon at your leisure. 
Day 4 GRINDELWALDFull-day excursion to Jungfraujoch, home to the highest railway station in Europe, the Ice Palace, the Aletsch Glacier (the largest river of ice on the continent!) and the Sphinx terraces. Enjoy a day full of breathtaking views and hiking. 
Day 5 GRINDELWALDEnjoy this day at your leisure. Day 6 LUNGREN/LUCERNE Early morning departure for Lungren, where you will board a 4-wheel drive car and ride up into the Alps to spend an afternoon with a farmer who makes authentic Swiss cheese. Enjoy a home-made lunch with him before you continue onto Lucerne. Day 7 LUCERNE Morning tour of the city of Lucerne. If you wish, you may also tour the Transportation Museum in the afternoon. 
Day 8 LUCERNEEnjoy this day at your leisure, or take an optional excursion to Mt. Pilatus on your own. There, you can enjoy some toboganning. Day 9 ZURICH Today transfer from Lucerne to Zurich; afternoon city tour of this intellectual and industrial center of Switzerland. 
Day 10 ZURICHHalf-day excursion to "Alpamere" water pools and slides center in Rapperswill. Enjoy 4 hours at the park before being transferred back to the hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Day 11 ZURICH/HOME After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. |
